Les is the Principal Broker and Founder of First Capital Realty. In 35 years of commercial brokerage, he has been involved in the sale of over $6.5 billion worth of transactions. Les has specialized in the sale of apartments, principally in the Eastern United States. He founded First Capital Realty in 1984. He was also a founder and board member of First Washington Realty Trust (formerly a New York Stock Exchange traded REIT). Before that he founded River Ridge Properties (1981) after having worked as a Broker for The Cary Winston Company (now Transwestern). Prior to entering the field of real estate, Les was an executive with the Xerox Corporation in Washington, D.C., and Sydney, Australia. He is a board member and on the finance committee of the National Multi Housing Council. He has lectured on multifamily housing, maximizing asset value, and commercial real estate brokerage.

Rick Shinberg

In over 34 years of commercial brokerage, Rick has closed on $4 billion of multifamily transactions. Rick has structured some of the largest and most complicated multifamily transactions in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area and throughout the Eastern Seaboard. He has been with First Capital Realty since August, 1984. Rick received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, and his Masters from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to his career in real estate, he was involved in educational and musical pursuits and still actively performs on guitar. (Rick is also a graduate of The Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California.) Rick is on the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council, has written articles for various real estate publications and has been a featured speaker/moderator at numerous industry symposiums..

Jeff Coles

Jeff has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience specializing in multifamily investments. He has participated in more than $4 billion of real estate transactions. Currently, Jeff holds the position of Senior Vice-President of Investment Sales and is a 22-year veteran of the company. For the three years prior to joining First Capital Realty, he had asset management responsibilities and conducted disposition analysis for Oxford Development, a leading national developer and operator of apartment communities. He is currently an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and serves on its Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Jeff is a member of AAREP (African American Real Estate Professionals), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers, and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also active with the DC Dream Center, a newly developed community-based center providing mentorship, personal development, and legal needs for many underprivilege residents of Washington, DC.

Sam Bryant

Born in Queens New York and raised in Philadelphia, Sam arrived in Washington DC in 1998 to pursue his studies at Howard University. Following his studies Sam held management positions in the fitness industry before starting his career in real estate in 2007. Sam is now focused on building trusted relationships with commercial real estate investors who own or would like to own multifamily assets in the Washington DC market. Sam believes that trusted relationships are the secret sauce when comes to putting together profitable deals where all parties win. Outside of the office Sam enjoys logging miles on his road bike, hitting the gym a few times a week and spending as much time as possible with his family.

Cameron George

Cameron is the Research Analyst of First Capital Realty. His duties include providing preparation of marketing proposals, offering memorandums, underwriting of properties for valuation and brokerage support by tracking apartment sales, gathering critical sales information and identifying potential sales opportunities. Prior to joining First Capital Realty, he worked as a research analyst with CoStar Group, the largest Commercial Real Estate information database, based in Washington, D.C. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Morgan State University. He is an active member of the African American Real Estate Professionals of Washington, D.C. and a past member of the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, D.C.’s Young Brokerage Network.

Josh Coleman

Josh Coleman is a highly acclaimed and widely sought after designer with over fifteen years of experience. After graduating with a BFA from the University of Maryland, College Park, Josh accepted a position with a national commercial real estate guide, Black's Guide. It was there that he began to refine his skill in layout and design. After many successful magazine launches Josh moved on to The Magazine Group/TMG/Manifest where he art directed numerous titles and personalized artwork to his valued clients. Even while leading 14+ titles at TMG he also worked on many client websites and did videos for CDW, expanding their brand. For the past 5 years Josh has worked with a multitude of diverse clients and accomplished many client/personal goals. Josh comes to First Capital Realty with a fresh approach and passion to bring his skills to the multifamily investment sales arena.
